breathless
stay alive, you have to vote
lives
falling like leaves
the garden is weeping
silently
a failing spring
stars in the sky
doubting their healing
light
caregivers and
political leaders fighting
for their own causes
countries, in their usual
elements, blaming each other,
with their characteristic
enthusiasm, vaccines
making money, the virus
dominating the circus
…
à bout de souffle
les vies tombent
comme des feuilles
le jardin pleure
en silence
un printemps en faillite
les étoiles dans le ciel
doutent de leur
lumière soignante
les aidants, les dirigeants
politiques luttent
pour leurs propres causes
des pays, dans leur éléments
continuent à se blâmer,
des vaccins gagnent de sou,
le virus domine
le cirque partout
…

What a fiasco this all is, eh? Your poem describes the situation well! The World seems to be beset with stupiditis, doesn’t it. The problem is that no-one can stand back and view this from afar, because we are ALL involved; we are all threatened.
Allen
Very nicely put; we are all involved, we are all threatened. Thank you.
Supratik
I can only echo Allen’s sentiments. The same also applies to climate change, we are all living in the same house, aren’t we?
Thank you! Yes, absolutely.
