Of Dice and Men
A rhyming exercise.

Twice
I was bent on a splice.
Both girls were nice,
all sugar and spice;
I listened to their advice
to make a sacrifice
and give up the dice
but it didn’t suffice;
it was a vice
I could not excise.
I lived in a fool’s paradise
and paid the price.
I was bent on a splice.
Both girls were nice,
all sugar and spice;
I listened to their advice
to make a sacrifice
and give up the dice
but it didn’t suffice;
it was a vice
I could not excise.
I lived in a fool’s paradise
and paid the price.

Luigi,
I cannot provide any advice,
my words would not suffice
to add any lustre
to what is a clever cluster
of rhymes by a master.
I cannot compete with your mastery!
I consult a dictionary,
there is no mystery.
Cheers.
Tis clear
You’ve got the ear
of hat special muse
That always will amuse.
That’s my excuse.
