Strange
everyday
words, thoughts,
and actions
are used to
hurt others,
rarely to heal,
yet, with these
merciless maladies
I remain perpetually
in awe,
I am flawless is the
most indulgent flaw

This is the most intelligent thing I have read today.
Classic example of “less is more”
Thank you, Supra
Thank you for the kind words, Guaj.
Yes. A very thought provoking, cleverly constructed, poem, Supratik.
Blessings, Allen
Thanks, Allen. Your comment is much appreciated.
I’m just here to echo the comments of others. A small gem… and the last couplet… perfect.
cheers,
Jim
Jim, Thank you. It means a lot.
I think Dodgem was right, the small verses seem to have a bigger appeal in my case.
As my yoga teacher told me many years ago, “we need to be in the world…but not of it”
This poems speaks to me of that. I like your use of words.

True indeed. Thank you, Alison.
I’m late to this party! But wow! It packs so much into such a small space; the way the rhyme unfolds to deliver the perfect end lines! Well done friend
Dodge.
Thank you, Dodge!
