Retraining

Inspired by a comment from Griffonner.

To start with they were three,
later joined by D’Artagnan
to form a formidable quartet.
Yet they were still known
as “The Three Musketeers”.
Unfortunately the jobs dried up
due to the prevalence of the pox
and the four swordsmen
could no longer be retained.
But there was no cause though
for D’Artagnan, Aramis, Athos
or Porthos to be cross;
at first they were on furlough
then King Louis told them
that they would be retrained
and become masketeers.

A pleasure! (In more ways than one.) 🙂

Haha, yes, plenty of them on the go now. 🙁

I watched a new film on Netflix about Spain several years down the line, where the people are living in a post virus, authoritarian utopia.

It was nightmarish and chillingly akin to what is slowly (or rapidly) unfolding now, I had to stop watching.

Don’t know what is going on with comments but lost half of what just posted, then what had, was reproduced! Fingers crossed this works. Alison x
