Disappointment.
I felt the day did not keep its word. ย ( A bit ‘tongue in cheek’ really )
Now a downbeat
gloom riddled afternoon,
fast forsaken by the orb
of morn: warmth and gilded
fingers had offered
so much more…

Lovely word choices Sue, I can see every brush stroke. Delightful
That’s very kind, thank you Keith, I wrote ‘January’ in the morning as it was such lovely Spring like weather, by early afternoon we were back to gloom and doom, I was somewhat annoyed that I had been deceived so I wrote this, totally tongue in cheek, to express my displeasure at Mother Nature. ๐ Sue. Good one, Sweetwater. Doom and gloom pending over the next few days I think. Snow, rain and dark clouds on the way. Take care!
Many thanks Otreasaigh ๐ Perhaps I should have kept my thoughts to myself with this poem, it seems I have bought the bad weather down on us! Sorry.
You take care too, perhaps stay indoors? Sue xx
We should have learned by now that the winter weather is so unreliable and be prepared to be disappointed, Sue.
Think of the spring season that is around the corner and cheer yourself up.

Yes you are quite right Luigi I really shouldn’t have let my expectations run ahead like that, I have enough winters behind me to know how it works hehe, but I guess I got a little carried away ๐
Never mind at least I had a small taster of spring in the morning to glory in.
Many thanks Luigi, appreciate the read and comment. Sue. Xx
