Navigating Puddles
My world is full of puddles
Each one a memory that I keep
Their water it is very cold
Their water is so deep
It’s my mind that’s making puddles
That lay scattered on the floor
I try to navigate around them
But my mind keeps making more
Should I close my eyes and feel my way
And then hope for the best?
My mind laughs at the thought of this
Has my head set me a test?
My mind is making puddles
They lay scattered on the floor
I try to navigate around them
But my mind keeps making more
I’d buy a pair of wellingtons
To try and help me through
But the sloping puddles are too steep
And some are out of view
My mind is making puddles
They lay scattered on the floor
I try to navigate around them
But my mind keeps making more
It never used to do this
It’s something that feels new
So I stay in bed avoiding them
What else can I do?
My mind is making puddles
They’re all scattered on the floor
I’d try to navigate around them
But my mind keeps making more
