Mamma Mia

ABBA is one rhyming sequence
that I use with regular frequence.
It is also the acronym of a band
that was popular, I understand,
during the seventies and eighties.
It had two men and two ladies;
when they were put to the test
they won the Eurovision contest.
Then went into a long hibernation
causing widespread consternation.
They are back after four decades
and interest in them never fades.
The suggestion has been mooted
that their faces were smoothed
to appear in a holographic form,
not in the flesh as it’s the norm.
Mamma mia, we’re bound to say,
we may be older but so are they;
we’ll be eager to hear them play
and buy the album without delay.
