Time For Tea
Food for thought?
“People like you never try
to understand what others are thinking,” she said.
I put my copy of Totem and Taboo face down
at page 168 and said,
“I think I need a cup of tea.”

Ah yes. The being judged by those who do not have a clue what they are saying…or the shallow proclamation said with supposed authority, to burst your bubble or stifle your creativity.
I grew up with that from childhood so I sure can relate.
Interesting short poem with a punch.

Thanks Alison you are bang on with your intuitive comment :*
You read a lot more into this little poem than I intended, Trevor
For me, this was irony.
That’s a kind thing to say. Thank you, Trevor
I am left wondering what type of tea you would have preferred.
Preferably, sensitivi-tea or empa-tea
