Thank you so much Mike, your words mean a great deal to me.
No idea why a lot of my poems seem to portray sadness though, there is no reason for it I’m a pretty happy person. Sue xxx
Love the brevity in this Sue a great extended metaphor for that restless night lonely quiet of the morning, so much in this short piece I can relate to, really well done and deserved Nom. Best Keith
Brevity has a lot going for it and your poem reminds me to try it more often. “..pulls the day awake…” is a genius of an image and I can relate to your evocation of waiting for the morning, which may or may not bring some relief. Congrats on the nom!

I do seem to be going through a short poem phase at the moment.
I am so pleased you liked that line, it does seem to fit the feel of the poem I think. Thank you for such a kind comment Gerald, and the congrats on the nom. Sue x
Spare with words but wide in scope and thought provoking.
Really enjoyed this Sue.
Cheers,
Jim
One of your best Sue, the whole work flows beautifully.
