The hours flow past
with waves that break
at midnight’s door.
Dawn, defiant pulls
the day awake,
calls the lonely tide
to lap the shore
with silence
once again.

I am pleased you are blessed with being a good sleeper, I envy you as sadly I am not, bedtime 2 am lie awake till 6 ish, deep sleep, alarm reaches into my brain and screams wake up its 8 o’clock. and as I said pulled into reality once more.
