For Lesley

There’s a time I remember,

when the world

stood still for us.

We smiled more,

laughed out loud,

loved deeper,

felt more alive.

It was our time, our moment.

I know we can never get it back,

after all…. nothing stays the same.

I’m just glad it got better.
