Autumnal Days And Nights

A poem on my favourite season.

Autumn is a beautiful season

summer ending,winter ahead,

a cool chill in the air,

leaves of gold and red.

Animals gathering food

some ready to hibernate,

squirrels burying acorns

and looking for a mate.

Walks in the countryside

blackberries nice and sweet,

collecting wood for bonfire night

kids on trick or treat.

Warm vibrant colours

not dull or grey,

but the nights come in early

so make the most of the day.
