Daisies And Snow.
Whispers of green clothe
winter-frail branches.
Catkins, pillow soft catch the eye
and tempt the touch.
Spring just a sigh away, dallies
at the door as half hearted
snowflakes fall lackluster, to die
beside the daisies.

So good to read and have someone composing and submitting this type of poetry with cryptic word use Sue, and it looks like too, your skill in writing it is returning with the first signs of winter losing its grip. There’s an invitation to believe in a spirit raising future in a troubled world, including in spite of Nature itself being strained, in this finely worded piece. Much enjoyed! Trevor
Thank you Trevor, it’s taken far longer than I expected to be able to write something worthwhile, so I really appreciate your comment. I’ll just keep plodding on and hope I will eventually get back to where I was. Sue.
