May You Experience An Unusual Joy

Because the God

that I serve,

placed a pain killer

in my mouth,

it led to

twenty-five years of effervescent,

omni present,

day to day dissolving.

A pharmaceutical chill,

feeling nil

by life.

Because the God

that I serve,

makes me walk

amongst others.

This pill thrill,

daily detonation,

chest inflection.

And I thought you

came here to save me.

Because the God

that I serve,

sits in a jar,

downstairs,

somewhere beyond a

stair well.

Human Temazepam Venn Diagram,

sat alongside dead relatives

and intersecting

with breathing others.

Because the God that I serve is work in progress.

A medication kraken awakening to a tablet habit.

And  a glass of water is not moving it.
