Perto Marvao em Portugal

Hi up amongst the mountains,
Almost touching the heavens.
A chance to think of angels,
As they look down on beauty, as I.
Mountains so tall and yet
Embraced by silence,
Some in sun, some in shadow,
Others just playing a masquerade,
Who can blame them
Looking at the crazy world far below
Birds won’t try to fly this high
All my eyes see is beauty,
The beginning of time.
At one with nature, so calm.
The wind whispers so gently here.
It’s present with its charm,
Clouds absent just pure glow
Lays beneath my boots below.
It’s getting late for I must go,
Leaving the blues above and greens below.
Tomorrow, I’m sure will lay another show,
