Quartet
Music to my ear.

We formed a quartet
to play classical music;
Emma on the clarinet,
Nina on the saxophone
and Sarah playing the flute.
Their pitch was just perfect,
my sound more subdued:
my instrument was on mute.

Luigi, you were contributing with your silence. you are in a purple phase with your poetry; such wonderful pieces flowing from your nib.
Regarding silence, you may like to read my reflections on it, Bhi.

As for the ‘purple phase’, it’s nothing to write home about; just something I do to pass the time. Thanks for your kind words.
This made me smile, reminded me of school and wanting to get into the choir but I can’t sing at all, so during the assessment I stood next to the best singer and I kept quiet, and we were both chosen!
great poem 🙂 sue.
We have something in common, Sue. I can’t sing either. Many thanks for the lovely comment.
Nice one Luigi. And is you all went mute you could perform the John Cage piece!
I would if I had 4’33” to spare, Gordon.
‘And is all you went’ !!! I seem to be suffering from a spelling impodiment! Anyway, please forgive this ignoramus – but what does 4’33” refer to?
Forgot
Gorgon
You asked me if I could perform the John Cage piece and as it is commonly perceived as “four minutes thirty-three seconds of silence” I meant that I too could be silent for that length of time
Ah, now I grok you! I thought it was a measurement, hopefully down!
