Trying to evoke a mood, a sense, of expectancy – leaving the reader to find their own solution to what’s going on. I once had a handwritten sign, ‘STOP IT!’ in my window and people would say, ‘Is it immigrants?’ or ‘Is it stop potting windows?’ according to their particular mindset. I always said, “Yep, you’ve got it.” So this is about anything you think it’s about or mebbe it ain’t :). Yeah, okay, I know it’s just another haiku – but with all the nonsense swirling around in the media I find it hard to avoid the virus distractions.… Read more »

I also liked your comment on your STOP IT! sign. I often feel like yelling that very thing to cover all the everyday mish mash of pointless words, and just plain noise filling the air. sue.
Thanks, people might think it’s about the virus – or maybe an expectant father waiting for a baby’s first cry – or a V1 rocket overhead. I think I like its ambiguity 🙂
