THE MOON GOBLINS
I hope you never acquaint yourself with these wretched folk!
THE MOON GOBLINS
The goblins slid down
On a beam from the Moon,
A beam from the Moon,
A beam from the Moon.
The goblins slid down
On a beam from the Moon
Chanting a vile and wretched tune.
“Oh, will you may
Or will you nay
We’ll bite you before
the open of day!
We’ll come in your house
With the stealth of a mouse
We’ll fill up a bucket
And give you a douse!
We’ll burst in your room
With a bang and a boom!
We’ll give you a whack
With the kitchen broom!
We’ll chase the dog
And nip the cat!
We’ll rip your coat
And dine on your hat!
Hey, we are the goblins
That come from the Moon!
We come from the Moon!
The monstrous Moon!
Oh, we are the goblins
That come from the Moon!
Don’t worry! Don’t fret!
We’ll visit you soon!”
OMG Well they need not bother haha.
It reminded me a bit of The Jumblies by Edward Lear. You caught the mischief and the menace that is the energy of goblins and Faery folk in the Highlands.
I really liked it.

I apologize for this belated reply but I’ve been recovering from a serious illness this past year. I’ve only recently resumed writing. I’m glad that you enjoyed the poem.
