Like a silent soldier
I watched, I cared.
You were all of my hearts desire.
You took my breath,
If I am true you still do!
I look, I wonder.
Long had I waited,
Long have I wasted.
Barren fields mimic me 
Barren years lie ahead.
Mixed emotions encroach my mind.
Mind over matter they whisper.
Some usher stay and others go.
My heart rules this day
My head passes the thought.
