Alluring Absence

Her absence fills the room;

With an aching hope,

She’d be here some day.

Takes me to a wonderland

What song will I write?

What chords will I play?

She loves to laugh,

And I love to gaze;

Enticing me to eternize,

In a divine figure of clay.

My imagination runs amok,

My heartbeat goes wild,

Planning every moment to come;

Every word I’ll say.

And reality drops on me;

She’s not here, not yet,

But her absence fills the room;

With seducing hope,

With a fairy tale,

With yearning and passion,

An unending beautiful trail;

Her absence fills the room.
