Collaboration
poem
A canvas attributed to both artist
And her three-year-old, Clara.
Purple and orange across
The center in crayon.ย “I only left
The room for a few seconds,
Came back, and Clara’s beaming.”
So, Not For Sale, Clara says
The swirls of colors are unicorns–
Anything is possible–
Come out in pairs to graze at dusk.

NFS what does it mean?
a lovely poem, mother daughter shine here.
NFS is “not for sale”. my friend david also stumbled there though i thought NFS generally known, though perhaps primarily in art sales/ auctioneering circles. clarifying, so thanks for that, and thanks for “mother and daughter shine here.”
Delightful mother/daughter vignette. I so wanted to see a picture of Not For Sale above your poem. Think it would add an irresistible charm to the whole.
Naturally, I have ‘complaints’, but you’d dismiss them so I won’t bother voicing them! ๐ ๐ ๐
Shelagh, oh Shelagh, my goal as a writer is one day to post something that you don’t wish addressed things not in the immediate text. all the way back to OWL. nexvertheless, you remain one of my favorite readers, and poets. thanks for “delightful”.
Lighten up Swep! It was a joke based on my long experience of offering input which you always promptly reject, even while you are suggesting cuts and changes to the writing of others. I was referring to text content, by the way.
reject suggestions, while suggesting cuts to others. ….hmm.
