Rocket Man

He’d always been a dreamer
So often had his fingers burnt
But still he kept on dreaming
It seemed as though he never learnt

So many years a dreamer
Everything to him was just unreal
He hid away from everyone
As nothing could he truly feel

Then one day he finally reached it
The point of no return
His rocket had run out of fuel
Time for him to crash and burn

Only now he saw a future
Looking through glass towards the sky
The nurse said gently “please wake up”
But he didn’t even care to try
