Village School Nativity Play.
Chapel hall with parquet flooring,
ancient door with children pouring.
Christmas tree in corner stands,
nervous infants, holding hands.
Stuttered words from shuttered lips,
shuffling feet and nervous tics.
Giggling shepherds try to hide
poking neighbours by their side,
tiny noses fingers picking
parents with their cameras clicking.

Thank you Peter, it’s an old one from 2014, at my Granddaughter’s first Nativity. I wrote it as soon as I got home. Sue xx
