Absence
A tongue-in-cheek observation.
They thought it was better to live apart;
he in Rabat, she into the wild blue yonder,
because they both knew that absence
makes sweethearts’ heart grow fonder.

I always wonder if absence makes a heart grow fonder, what happens when they meet again, does the fondness subside? I imagine from your two sweethearts it must do. 🙂 Sue
Surely after a long absence, the reunion should culminate in the height of passion.

Crazy poetry, Luigi Did you post this on the new ‘other’ place? Seems familiar. Great fun as ever.
This doggerel would have been posted in the ‘Just plain daft’ on the old UKA. I have posted it on the new ‘other’ place, Mick, but it has since disappeared as have all my comments.
