Fascinating start to the tournament. Good win for the Scots! Edgy win for England. Game very much on. Apparently, the 6 Nations tournament draws bigger average crowds than any other sporting event in the world. Even bigger than the world cup or the super bowl wotsaname. The last game between England and Ireland still may be the deciding factor in the competition.

... there's France/Wales on that last day too; that may be quite significant.

I also think much may depend on how we deal with the French next week.  A win in Paris would be tremendous and keep the championship  wide open and given the way we played yesterday ....  😀

Good win in the end for Wales against Italy after a dodgy Welsh first half. The tournament is building up nicely. I think Ireland will bounce back. Good to see the Scots going well after a few years in the doldrums.

The paint has now dried... colour a bit wibbly-wobbly... may need a top-coat. Mind-boggling prospects for this weekend. Can a wannabe Italy gain any crumbs from a gottabe Ireland? Can a mighthavebeen Scotland triumph over an almostbeen France? What will happen when a Welsh dragon faces an English lion? One can but tremble in anticipation of it all.

Anything can happen. Do I recall correctly that once - can't remember when as I don't follow rugby too much - Italy beat Scotland?  🙂

They did indeed recently beat Scotland in the 6 Nations, Luigi. Italy are actually probably the weakest team in the competition, mainly due to the fact that they don't have the rugby-playing heritage that the other 5 nations have and obviously a much smaller pool of top class international players to chose from. They are slowly improving and considered good enough to play in the 6 Nations' Championships and might just about make the list of the top 10 best teams in the world.

Wow!!!!  ...  and again, WOW!!!!!!!

Was that a game!  😀  All we need is for Italy to beat England tomorrow and we could still win the Championship.  Mind you just seeing Scotland winning like that is so good.  It's been a long time coming ...
