A regular and popular feature of the 'old' UKA was Writer of the Month. The recipient of that accolade would be interviewed by an editor who would ask relevant questions and the result would be posted on the website enabling those members to be introduced to the rest of the membership and promote interaction. I have found a link to a list covering the years from 2002 to 2010 and thought old members might like to refresh their memory. I believe it would be nice to resurrect this feature. Unfortunately, the interviews were missing. Anyway, here is the link

Yep. Good idea.
But who gets to pick/choose the writer of the month?
What are the criteria?
How to set it up?
The interview would be easy. Just need a way to choose the monthly recipient.
I suppose that an independent moderator should be appointed for that task. How was it dealt with in the olden days? I have a suspicion that Sunken (also known as Uncle Munky) might have been involved but I may be mistaken.
Could be a group (forum moderator) decision/vote?
it is an idea but a lot more moderators have to be appointed and able to communicate among themselves. {pear}
I could set up a WOTM forum that can be set to private and viewable only by moderators, so only moderators can view and use it?
Then they can post threads and replies to discuss their suggestions/reasons/choices etc for WOTM?
Okay.
I've created a new forum for UKA WOTM. It's only viewable and useable by forum moderators.
I've created a thread for WOTM JUNE 2021 so mods can begin deliberations!
thanks.
