I've reactivated new user registrations. I will keep an eye on any spam or dubious accounts created and act accordingly!
Also please let me know of any issues/problems with the basic features of the site, such as logging in, submitting, editing, commenting and the use of the forums.
Going forward I want the site to be a very basic writers' community.
Basic features:
Register an account
login/out
Submit writing which is published twice a week (Monday & Friday)
Commenting and replying below the submissions.
User for the forums.
other basic functions like Private messaging and submission editing.

Excellent. I prefer switches and knobs to touch screens any day. The touch screens always seem to play up with me so simplicity is best. We can enlarge on bells and whistles, if, at some future date, we are overrun with postings, comments etc and things need to be fancified. (Is that a word?)
The straighforward way we used to have it worked well enough imho. 😉
