How can it be possible?
must have this printscreen pic, saved in case no one believes me. saw it a few minutes ago it's 11:59 in Athens. phew... feels like we entered the twilight zone.
can you click on it?
I saw it, Nic.
I will delve!
is there an IP? I don't know perhaps it could be worse if there is no IP .....
again today, it's 52 years ago now, so a day for this anonymous is a year, who is playing with us?
Questions, was the post removed yesterday yes or no? If it was not removed does it make sense that it counted time differently showing that today is a year after? If it was removed, why did it appear again but a year was added? Is there an IP connected with this anonymous?
I didn't remove it because it had disappeared by the time I investigated.
It's probably just a bot anomaly. Nothing to worry about.
or... a Ghost of a past UKA member!
could be an Interstellar kind of anomaly or someone who is trying play with us make us think but since I was the one who noticed it first and during a discussion which had a lot to do with time I take it now seriously because today I saw it when I had another discussion whose subject I won't reveal now...
can a bot be that sophisticated to do it? change parameters and appear in a chronological order that is so inaccurate?
I have just worked out why the latest forum posts block shows that oddity...
The 'anonymous' user 'posted 52 years ago' shows when someone (an admin or moderator) posts something in a forum that is set to admins/mods only.
We have a few forums that are hidden to 'regular' UKA members, admin forums that only the site admin and the forum moderators can see and use.
The 'recent forum posts' block (on the front page) must have a bug that causes it to get upset when it tries to handle a post that should be hidden from 'normal' viewing.
Rather than just ignore the post (not display it), it instead displays that cryptic message that 'anonymous has posted something 50 years ago'!
I will inform the creators of the forum plugin and tell them they have a bug in the Recent Posts block.
case closed then?
so what do you mean that when a moderator posts something that's supposed to remain hidden then a cryptic message appears publicly?
that's a RATHER BIG DEVELOPMENT!
