Complications ii.

free verse partly fantasy romantic poem

part i.

We’re no longer after
what this World
trains people to do,
selflessness pulled us
out of its slick womb.

Holding each other’s
hands, enthralled,
a sign we’ve now
quit selling off
vacant looks as love.

Not sure if I grok this yet – it being part i; but so far I’m intrigued and I like the slant rhyme between off and love.

there is a feeling of great togetherness in these short lines. A deep and shared understanding that can only lead to enthrallment right enough!
