My problem with the American Dream is that it’s stupid, selfish and it’s only a dream.

The American Dream is to die

heroically, painlessly

in a shoot-out with the evil cops

re-appearing  to

cheering  young ladies

in your truck

in Heaven all debts paid

all enemies elsewhere

the burgers dogs and fries

heavenly and free

and no need

ever to wake up.

THE AMERICAN DREAM (F)

Simply to wake with friends

slim and beautiful

ringed by admirers in top hat and tails

on Earth

with a fixing job to do.
