I’ve never been under the sea before, but I have been to the London Aquarium, where you can stroke a stingray in a pool. Apparently, according to a guide on the London Eye, the staff at the aquarium take all the fish out once a week and let them swim around in the Thames for an hour to get some exercise and stretch their fins a bit.
Especially if you’re a haddock.
We are an island race, Tony. The blood of the shipwrecked mariner is in our veins. What sort of Englishman wouldn’t love the sea?
I’m an exile now, but I still miss getting on the free ferry from Silvertown to Woolwich.
